Huntington Beach MC hosted a two-day Dual Euro Scramble at the world-famous Slash X Ranch in Barstow, California. The hot and sunny weather made for a dry and dusty course, typical of Barstow, the rocky and technical racing did not disappoint.

Day one, Race one, Marissa Honeyman took the overall win for the Women’s class. With a repeat in Day two, she earned herself the Women’s Two-Day Overall award. Laci and Brooke Olivas competed in their first adult race in the Women’s class with Jacob Argubright and Ryan Smith as their chase riders, with older sister Taylor placing 1st overall in the Women’s Amateur class on Day two, making a good weekend for the Olivas girls.

In race one of the Pro/Expert/Intermediate race, Nick Burson took 1st overall, with Jacob Argubright in a close 2nd, and last year’s District 37 overall Heavyweight Champion, Ryan Smith in 3rd. Burson and Argubright took a nice lead on their class with Paul Krause (LWT 2) in 4th creeping up on Smith. Paul Krause had an awesome weekend of racing, taking 1st overall in two classes on both days.

Jacob Argubright returned on day two and took the win.

Saturday was also Round two of the Youth Desert Series. Super Mini, Bradley East took 1st overall. Clayton Roberts held the lead in the first lap until a crash slowed him down, allowing East to catch him. Bradley ended up with a huge lead on his class, taking his second consecutive overall win in the Youth Desert Series. Andrew Schulz took a 1st in his class in the youth race, ripping through the desert, coming close to the older guys.

Day two in the Pro/Expert/Intermediate race, Jacob Argubright got the holeshot and finished 1st overall with Nick Burson, less than 1 minute behind in 2nd, and Ryan Smith finishing 3rd.
