The weekend couldn’t have gone any better for Brandy Richards as she would take home the win in the Women’s class Saturday morning before lining up for the Pro race Saturday afternoon. With the rain the week before the event and the rain on Friday it would leave the dirt as perfect as you could get it for the opening round and the Women’s Pro race. The race would be stacked with talent with Tatum Sik (Defending Queen Of Adelanto) Britney Gallegos, Lauren Woods and Lauren Hammond ready to join Brandy Richards in the chase for the Crown! The race would be red flagged on Saturday due to some injuries and with daylight running out the decision was made to postpone it until 7:30 am Sunday morning unfortunately that would leave Rachel Gutish, Gina Alvarez and Ryann Bradley out for Sunday as they all had prior commitments.
Sunday morning would come along and with it 38 degree temps! The Pro’s would have a staggered start with each rider leaving in 5 second increments. Brandy Richards would leave first from the line followed by Tatum Sik, Lauren Woods, Britney Gallegos and Lauren Hammond. Brandy Richards would never relinquish the lead and Tatum Sik would stay in second. However Lauren Woods and Britney Gallegos would battle it out for third for the first three laps with Britney Gallegos getting by and lap 4 and rounding out the podium in third with Lauren Woods close behind followed by Lauren Hammond. Brandy Richards would take home the Queen of Adelanto Title and will take the lead in the Women’s Pro Class into Round two for the Maxxis Big6 Dirt Diggers MC at Taft.
