The Pro classes of the WCGP Series have been tight all season and the final round at Lake Elsinore MX for The MSR Big6 Vikings GP would be no different except this time the Championships were on the line! In the Pro class Eric Yorba was in the driver’s seat but Blayne Thompson and Justin Seeds both had a chance to take the title with a win in the last round and a 5th place finish or worse by Eric Yorba. The start would see Jeff Loop get the holeshot followed by Justin Seeds, Dalton Shirey, Eric Yorba, Michael Del Fante and in 6th Blayne Thompson. After 4 laps Jeff Loop was still your leader and Eric Yorba had worked his way into 2nd followed by Justin Seeds and Blayne Thompson. On lap 5 Eric Yorba would work his way past Jeff loop after they both had completed their pit stops and from there would go on to claim the win at Round 8 and take the Championship! Blayne Thompson would go on to finish 4th in the race and secure 2nd in the Championship and Justin Seeds finishing 3rd in the Championship.

In the Pro 2 Class there was only 7 points separated teammates Beau Baron and Mitch Anderson for the Championship and the riders knew what they needed to do. The start would have Trevor Stewart ( 5 Wins) take the holeshot followed by Beau Baron and Mitch Anderson. Trevor Stewart would lead wire to wire but Beau Baron & Mitch Anderson would remain in a tight battle for the first 7 laps before Beau Baron would extend his lead on the third place rider and go on to finish 2nd ahead of Mitch Anderson in 3rd and take the Pro 2 Championship!

In the Women’s Pro Class it was down to Tatum Sik and Gina Alvarez for the Championship. Sik would hold a 15 point lead over Alvarez going into the final round so Alvarez knew should would need to win and see how things would shake out. Sik would come out of the first turn in the lead followed by Alvarez, WMX Pro Lauren Woods (who was making her first appearance in the MSR Big6 GP Series) and Mica Diaz. Sik would lead all 11 laps while Woods would battle with Alvarez and Diaz to take control of 2nd. Diaz would ultimately take over 3rd and Alvarez would suffer a mechanical and DNF. Tatum Sik would win her first WCGP Big6 Championship with Gina Alvarez coming in 2nd and Mica Diaz in 3rd.
