Upshift Industry Insider Justin Dawes gives us his perspective on why you need to pack up your bike, point it in a direction that seems interesting. And just go. Leave the map in the saddlebags, turn off the GPS and phone, and see what you might find. It’s all in a feature we call “Comfort Zone.”
Klim’s Stephen Clark takes us on an epic journey in the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route for four days as we get the chance to try Klim’s new Krios helmet and a yet-to-be released jacket and pant kit. “Idaho is a northwestern U.S. state known for its mountainous landscapes and vast swaths of protected wilderness and outdoor recreation areas,” says Upshift’s Simon Cudby.
In yet another feature, Upshift was asked if we would join multi-time motocrosss champion Bob Hannah on a ride through Utah. Of course, we jumped at the opportunity. We started the five-day trip in Hurricane, Utah (appropriately named), and headed east to Monument Valley, then made a turn north to the adventure capital town of Moab, Utah. What followed were several days of amazing riding through Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and the White Rim Trail.
Those two featured trips, plus our in-depth product testing and new gear feature, will get you up to speed on what’s new in the gear and gadget marketplace.
And last but definitely not least, we bring you an amazing look back in photos of the Atacama Rally top 5 with an amazing recap of the historic rally in Chile."
