Broc Hepler 1st Overall and Johnny Barber 4th.
LOS ANGELES, CA. (June 6, 2016) – GasGas Factory U.S. riders, Broc Hepler and Johnny Barber put the enduro racing world on notice that GasGas is coming back stronger than ever with a dominating performance at the 4th Round of the AMA Apalachian Championship Enduro Series on Saturday, June 5th. With 78 miles of grueling trail, the 42nd Annual Little Raccoon Classic in Wellston, Ohio was a true test for man and machine. Hepler came out on top after a race long battle with National Enduro stars Nick Farhringer and Robbie Jenks, while GasGas team manager Johnny Barber finished 4th Overall. Just finishing the eventwas victory for most, as many of the 120 riders were forced to drop out due to severe weather impacting the course.
Hepler said, “The Little Raccoon is one of my favorites. It has really long test sections that make endurance a factor. The last section of the day was an "A" only trail and was tough as nails. A new suspension setting on my EC300 really helped me in the rough conditions and the power is amazing. It gives me everything I want when the going gets tough.”
This is the second consecutive overall win for Hepler in the Aces Series after putting the GasGas factory machine on top in Shade, OH, last April. Team Manager/Rider Johnny Barber put it this way “Our team has made great progress not only in results buts also track side presentation. For a first-year start up program, I'm very pleased with our results so far, everyone involved puts in a lot of time and effort to make this happen. Special thanks to our pit crew Tommy Johnston, Dawn Hepler and Rich Smith as well as our sponsors Gas Gas Motos, Lunova Group, 6DHelmets, Super B Lithium batteries, Tri-State Powersports, Shift Racing, SCOTT Motosports, Golden Tyre USA, FMF Racing, Spectro Oils, HBD Graphics, Numbers Brewing Company, P3 Composites, LLC, PR2 Suspension, Mika Metals, Bullet Proof Designs, G2 Ergonomics and Seat Concepts"
